Craters of the Moon National Monument

After leaving Yellowstone, we decided this place had a really cool name. Turns out, it as worth the name. The Earth opened up and all this lava came out.

Thisis a photo of the lava that covers this area.

Another photo of the lava.

When the lava cooled, it formed all these neat little caves. Some of them you can climb into.

This is Jason and I on the trail with all the caves.

This is a photo of me about halfway up the trail to top of Inferno Cone.

This is Jason atop the Inferno Cone at Crater of the Moon National Monument.

If you happen to be near this place, it's definitely worth the stop.
