According to wired.com, today is the anniversary of the day that Elias Howe patented the first sewing machine.

It's a pretty cool article. It goes into the different people who invented, but didn't pursue the actual production of the sewing machine.

It's just something fun to ponder...how we got to the sewing machines we use today.

On another note...
Singer's main page has the "Singer Spotlight" section in the bottom right quadrant. My sewing machine cover is project featured there currently!

A sad conclusion...

I think I've come to the conclusion that it's time to let Lucille go. With my new machine, Meredith, I just don't think I can justify keeping her.

I still thing she was a wonderful purchase and am very glad that Jason and I were in the position to get something of her quality.
